Elevations is an urban design studio that specializes in creating customized gardens which are a natural extension of the home.  We take great care in building dynamic plantings for modern outdoor spaces, all with an eye towards sustainability.  With 10 years of experience working in New York City, we are able create unique gardens for each client.  We understand the importance of carefully arranging plants so that they strive; either on a roof, terrace or yard, allowing you to simply enjoy the view.

Cara White, founder of Elevations, began her horticultural career after graduating from McGill University with a degree in Plant Science. After completing her B.Sc. she worked at Longwood Gardens, the nations premier display garden.  Loving the time spent there, she realized that her talent as a landscape designer would be better served in an area starved for greenery.  Relocating to New York in 2005, she continued training at The New York Botanical Garden while simultaneously establishing her own landscape design firm, Elevations Urban Landscape Design.  Enthusiastic about growth in the green roofing industry, Cara's latest endeavor has been the designation as a Certified Green Roof Professional by the non-profit Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.
